Your responsibility is to coordinate the trade show marketing for your company. You have a very full plate with the exhibit design and literature to be handed out. You have to make sure that everyone is trained on how to demonstrate your products and make presentations. Then... you find yourself completely distracted by having to get quotes from various freight carriers, finding out that some are suspiciously inexpensive, while others are ridiculously over-priced. Some carriers never bothered to call you back. We completely understand this scenario. The carriers that quoted high... probably could not have done the service themselves and were going to outsource it to another carrier. The ones that were very inexpensive, would do anything to get you locked in so they can gouge you with extra charges once you've committed. Although some carriers are very good at shipping trade show materials and understand the processes and procedures, others, arrive at the trade show to deliver and have no idea why they have been diverted to a marshalling yard and are waiting to be called to the loading docks. Their driver is now calling you and threatening to leave while your installation crew is standing around waiting for crates. At TLC-Expo we work with multiple carriers for shipping trade show properties. Some are better than others at different types of freight. We know each of their strengths, and most important we also know their weaknesses. We track the progress of each shipment and solve problems before they become a crisis. Let us handle the shipment of your tradeshow properties. We will give you an accurate quotation, research and verify all the critical pick-up and delivery dates and times. We provide you with shipping labels for your crates and coach you on the best way to prepare for pick-up. We will make ourselves as available and reachable as possible to solve problems, and we will send you one invoice when all the work is complete. We will do everything possible to save you both time and money in transporting your exhibit to the show and back.
